Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERBERT CLIVE NORTHCOTT Herbert Clive Northcott of Vancouver, (formerly of Abbotsford), died on September 19, 2005 with his family around him. A Scouter, a kind and loving husband and father, and a gentleman, he lived his life true to the highest of principles. He is sadly missed by his wife Phyllis; daughters, Colleen and Elizabeth; and was predeceased by his son Cameron. Herbert joined the Boy Scouts of Canada in 1931 in Vernon, BC, the day following his 12th birthday, and dedicated his life's work to this field as a professional scouter. He was the Executive Director of New Brunswick, and remained an active member of the Baden Powell Guild in his retirement. Madame Jean Sauve awarded the Silver Wolf to Herbert in 1984 for his exemplary contribution to Scouting in Canada. He also cared deeply for all his family and friends, supported them, and lived in faith always. Herbert's service will be held Saturday, September 24 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's (Kerrisdale) Anglican Church), 2490 West 37th Ave., (at Larch) Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in his name to the Boy Scouts of Canada or to St. Mary's (Kerrisdale) Anglican Church, V6M 1P5.
